[BlindTlk] Something is bugging me!

We used to live down in Florida, and the one bug we couldn't get rid of no matter what we did and how clean we kept things were roaches. WE didn't have a colony at all, but they would definitely appear from time to time, and I used to encounter them when cleaning the floor.

When I get ants they go in my dog's food. He doesn't want to eat so I know to check his bowl. They will be crawling all over and even get on me sometimes. I pay an exterminator to spray inside and outside. They also put a pot of poison under the kitchen sink that tastes good to ants under the kitchen sink. They go under there to look for drops of water from the pipes. So they take the poison to share with the colony. Ants are likely to come in your kitchen if there is any kind of food they can get to whether it is crumbs on the floor or a little bit of spilled syrup on the counter. You can keep your food safe from bugs by putting it in airtight containers.

It's important to find out where they are coming from. I had a big colony in my back yard and they were coming in under the door. The eterminator sprayed a whole bunch of poison directly on the ants that were running around outside and inside, as well as down in the hole they were living in. That took care of the problem. I have the exterminator come about every 3 months just in case there are bugs I don't know about. I had 3 wasp nests in my sheds. I didn't know about them until the exterminator told me. All I knew was that my dog was afraid of the sheds. But after she sprayed the nests the problem was solved.

OK, so that was a play on words. I have a question about something I have never dealt with.
It turns out that some days ago, some cited friends who were here saw some ants in my kitchen counter, and on the counter near the stove. Obviously, they are quite small, and there weren’t many. However, they are showing up and not going away. We cannot trace where they are coming from,
My friends are gone, and now I am at a loss as to how to handle what might be an ant problem. We have sprayed, but there are still a few that show up. What are some good techniques for dealing with this?
