Clearly
blind candidates are encouraged to bid.

 

 

The Canadian Federation of the  Blind (CFB) is a not-for-profit
membership
organization run entirely by blind Canadians.

 

We have limited grant funding available to modernize our website
www.cfb.ca
<http://www.cfb.ca>  and are looking for interested developers.

 

The successful bid must include full accessibility using the most current
WCAG accessibility standard, both for outward facing content and internal
updating.  The successful candidate will work under the direction of a
member of our executive.  Because our funds are limited and the work may
need to be done incrementally, we are requesting bids for individual
components of the work as well as a bid on the project as a whole. The
order
in which the modules are listed does not necessarily indicate their
priority.

Appearance module

Incorporate features that allow visitors to customize the color and font
size.  

Incorporate new CFB logo.  

 

Ongoing Update module 

Incorporate features that will make it easy for authorized members to
update
content.

Ensure that time sensitive content can be shared on social media.

 

Structural Internal Organization Module

Organize YouTube content so that it can be easily viewed, including
listing
of available videos and quick search.

Reorganize headings as directed.

Update contact page.

Ensure uniformity of look of issues of our magazine, "The Blind
Canadian,"
and make the content easily searchable by issue and article.

 

New Feature Module

 

Install an Ecommerce capability that allows for collecting dues,
donations,
and relevant information for convention registration and other activities
