What would probably help map readers is if key values would get replaced
with excel spreadsheet coordinates.  This way just examining a key of a
primary map would give some sense of relation to locations and features.
Subordinate map coordinates would also start with A1 and have their own
coordinates in their own keys.
For manufacturers, Excel coordinates can be a useful means to describe
control locations on panels and such for the same reason, the user gets a
sense of relation between an already found control and another control for
which they're searching.
