I am sorry for your bad experiences. I use Uber and Lyft regularly,
and I would say at least 95 percent of my experiences are good. If
you are going to an unfamiliar place, you do have to make sure you
are being dropped off at the right place by asking questions.
With any entity that deals with the public, airlines, bus or train
companies, taxis, retail outlets, restaurants, and Uber and Lyft,
customer service and training are a huge problem. How to train people
and get them to act consistently and correctly is a huge problem.
A couple years ago I would have said that Lyft provided its drivers
with better training than Uber, but now ... who knows.
What problems I had, I also had with taxi cabs when I used them.
And ... people with guide dogs have more problems -- that is a hard one!
