Judy, thanks for your support and hints. I'm struggling with my blindness attitudes - the belief I can be independent. I know it intellectually, but emotionally, it's another story. It doesn't help I've received limited, improper training (according to the NFB philosophy.) After the pandemic, I hope to attend an NFB center to fix that!

The answer to the question is yes, a blind person can have a clean house, but I know that when we had kids, we never had an all-at-one-time clean house. Someones room was messy, or laundry might not yet be put away, still on someone's bed. The kitchen might look great, but the living room needing picked up, or vice-versa.
As long as you consistently work at it is what's important.
Now, with just my hubby and I, it is much easier to have an all-over clean house.

I just want to keep bugs out, the police germ free and be able to find stuff. I like the lived in look to some extent! But then again you have to understand I lived with a hoarder for 15 years before getting divorced. Living there was so much work just to keep the house livable and safe that immaculate seems like an impossibility. He was cited by the way.
