I enjoy watching sports, but I'm not sure I want a career in the industry. Also,
I enjoy being on the computer, but I'm not sure I want to make a living working
on them. Animals are my main love/interest. I've tried finding blind people
working with animals, but haven't had much luck. Anyone that I've found either
did it when they had vision, or they have enough functional vision to do it
sighted.

Awesome, focus on each of those interests in turn. Find people who are where you
want to be and talk to them about how they got to where they are now. Email
people directly, mention some specific reason that you have for contacting them,
and ask for a few minutes to conduct an informational interview. Come up with a
list of questions based on what you know about each person's background. How to
find such people? There are many ways, including friends you may already have,
social networking sites, and archives of lists such as this one on nfbnet.org.
Why go to the trouble of doing this? One reason is that you want valid
actionable suggestions from qualified people. Another is that it will help you
develop a network that you can occasionally call upon for suggestions should you
encounter roadblocks in reaching your goals. Let me know if you have any
questions, and best of luck in finding something that works for you.
