I know nonprofits are hard up for cash but really, are they taking dogs away and then making the people look bad on media for what purpose? I am not a guy dog user but this is… not enough appropriate words to say actually here. We need to get them shut down! Does MARK even know about this? They should have a office or contact person at headquarters just for people with guide dogs that have troubles like these. Nagged you can only do so much as they are spread out. We need to have a champion in the handler‘s court. Sure a cane is cheaper, but there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be supporting them. Sorry this is a run-on paragraph basically but I’m just so frustrated over all this and send. If we’re looking for equal rights than everybody should have the right to a dog if they’re able to take care of it. It sounds like River’s and Blake was doing her diligence in taking care of the dog unlike some people I know who’ve gotten their dogs from other schools and basically made them into household pets rarely working them and such.
When I attended Blind Inc. a few years ago two or three teacherss had dogs. This makes no sense NFB training center teachers have dogs then why wouldn’t they support these teachers just as much as the cane travel teachers if they had an issue? The NFB talks about toolbox or tricks to solve issues.
