When I found out a couple of weeks ago that I was nominated and chosen along with our NFB of Texas affiliate for our mentoring program, it was a pleasant surprise. The below is the information which gives the dates and times for the ceremony. Also, below my signature is the original message from Norma Crosby, our NFB of Texas President.

> This morning I am writing to share an announcement that we can all take pride in. Our affiliate's CAREER Mentoring Program has been inducted into the National Disability Mentoring Coalition and Partners for Youth with Disabilities Hall of Fame, and one of our mentors, Raul Gallegos has also received the same honor. There will be a ceremony to recognize all inductees on the evening of March 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Central Time. I will share information about the ceremony as it becomes available.
> In 2018, another of our mentors, Daniel Marinez, was honored in the same way, and I have no doubt that other program participants will be considered in the future. Our program has been active since 2007, and we have had the honor of mentoring some pretty great kids who have turned into pretty great adults. I expect nothing less in the years to come.
> If you know of blind people between the ages of 14 and 22 who could benefit from working with a blind role model as they set and achieve their goals, please feel free to direct them to our website so they can apply as a program participant. Or, have them give us a call to discuss how to sign up. If you know a blind adult who would be a good role model for blind youth, please do the same. We are always looking for new mentors as well.
