Maybe once marijuana is considered by the Feds, in a much different light than what it is now, maybe you could operate a dispensary. You see, the state blind services program provides all the equipment, and inventory, at least at first, for all Randolph-Sheppard businesses. So, since marijuana is still forbidden, either for sale, or for usage, currently, I don’t believe they could legally purchase a dispensary business. Good thought though. I believe truly a blind person could operate such a facility and make lots of money. But I believe the Randolph-Sheppard Act would not provide the means to start such a business at this time. Maybe soon though, since they may legalize it. Talks and bills are being produced in the U.S. House to make it legal. I do admire your ingenuity and keep waiting for marijuana to be considered legal, officially.

Subject: [BlindTlk] business ownership questions
good afternoon. what businesses are included in the Randolph-shepard
act? Since we as blind people can work in businesses like that, i
thought we could also own or work in a cannabis dispensary. if so,
what training is involved? I think it might be something to consider
for employment opportunities.
