Oh yes it is, and all the time!!!
If you have to use a calculator on a notetaker, or give commands to any
braille unit, it has to be done in computer braille, plus naming files and
folders on an electronic device, that all has to be done in computer
braille.
I wonder if you weren't thinking of braille grade 1?
I have an older recipe book that was written in grade one-and-a-half, the
braille code for that day and time.
