I forgot to mention and this is important the jaws binary came off an
oracle forms disk and did not come from fs itself. This is something fs
for protection of its users really ought to crack down on in the case of
Oracle getting both the binary and all of the source code from oracle and
if in this instance Oracle cannot provide both in good condition fs if
necessary ought to have litigated Oracle requiring oracle to remove the
jaws binary from its distributions. No company or corporation outside of
fs should be permitted to hold jaws binaries and jaws source code without
sending both to fs along with the version of jaws that ran the binary.
This way fs could test on that version of jaws to verify accessibility
then compile binaries for all later versions of jaws and make the source
and binaries available to fs users. Had those requirements been in place
this problem wouldn't have existed.
