[BlindTlk] Using a walker?

Good morning everyone,

	I have two walkers: one manual that I have to push ahead of me, and
a Rollator with a seat and a bag underneath that I use for going to work. I
had to figure out a method on my own by using a cane by tapping the walker
and the wall. Unfortunately, since we live in a tonhome with three steps
going down, I usually need help going down. The Rollator costs about $75,
which is not a big expense. That part was shocking because I did not need
insurance to cover that cost. The only disadvantage to using the Rollator is
that it is hard getting through doors, which I generally need help with
opening and closing. However, that does not stop me from going places. I
hope this helps.

Hi, All,

  I'm asking for assistance for a friend of mine who is looking for a
foldable, lightweight walker she can use, at the same time using her white
cane, if possible. She has developed balance problems, has brittle bones and
concerned about falling.

She would like something that is portable and lightweight. Balance is her
only issue.

Is anyone out there using a wabbker with a white cane who can give advise
for me to pass on?
