 Justin, why would you want an app? There was a resolution passed at convention, saying most of the time text-to-speech was inappropriate, and I agree with this.

What my friend found out was that an app to is on the way to plug into the movie you are watching from you iPhone.

You ask the movie theater service desk to give you head phones that usually have a button on them to turn them off and on. And, a volume control knob. So while you watch the movie, descriptions come from the head phones. I always take one ear off, so I can beter get the sound affects of the movie and hear  the talking. You can only hear the descriptions in the head phones. Regarding dirve in movies? I guess you would do the same. Ask someone at the office, or snack bar, if they have head phones. Hope this helps.
