The easiest way to search for a list is to go on the listserv, such as
groups.io, freelists.org, googlegroups.com, and such, and put your keywords
in their search boxes.

The Blind Android Users is a high traffic list, but lots of helpful folks
with all kinds of devices, some I've never heard of, but all accessible and
working well.  That list has over 500 on it.  The other list I mentioned is
also a good resource, although not as much traffic.

Also, if you just want a phone to talk and text, not much else, you can get
the Blind Shell Classic 2.  It is a flip phone made for blind people, but
very simplified and not one you can customize.  There are several apps on it
already, but you cannot download any app you wish, only from the prescribed
ones that company has, I believe I'm correct in that, or you cannot download
at all, not sure.

Any it is a very simple phone with numeric buttons for those who just want
to talk and text.

They run in the $400 range, and you would be getting much, much more bang
for the buck, if you buy a touch screen Android mid-range device that would
have most everything a flagship has, including internal memory.

Hi Judy,
What other lists are there for blind android users? I ask because sometimes
I have trouble searching for lists so having subscription addresses is much
easier

Hi all,
Not sure if I'll ever get one but given how accessible iPhones are for
visually impaired I suspect that people will continue to push me to get one.
If I ever do are there any email lists for blind iPhone users that any of
you recommend? If so can you please provide me with the subscription address
(s)?
I'll keep them for future reference. I know that such questions can be asked
on general tech lists but when it's related to something specific then I
much prefer posting to a list specific to that product/OS. Thanks for any
info that any of you can provide me!!
