Hello all. I have mixed feelings about this. First, will a petition really
help? If it does, then those who feel strongly about this should go ahead
and sign it. Second, is Basic HTML view really still better? For example,
with modern browsers, and with the keyboard shortcuts, it works very well as
a web app. Plus, the basic html version doesn't have some of the more
advanced features that people may want to use. Third, third-party clients
are still a viable option. Real mail clients like Mac Mail, Thunderbird, and
Outlook are far better than web mail for most efficient use of mail. This is
especially true if the person has had decent training in case it is needed.
