[BlindTlk] Computers

On Windows at least, service pack updates have failed in the past. The
windows update utility when I had last used it in 2013 wasn't intelligent
enough to pull in dependencies and install things correctly. Windows
unlike Window-eyes is not self-healing. Linux isn't self-healing either
but has a larger support staff than windows on the internet. For those
that don't know what self-healing means, on a self-healing operating
system an update fails. The computer gets rebooted. Then the computer
calls the factory and sends the factory a remediation log in which the
failure of the update is recorded along with all of the needed hardware
information. Developers at the factory then rewrite the update so it
continues to work on all systems that haven't sent remediation logs and
then works on the systems that sent remediation logs. Then the update is
made available again and this time the update installs correctly. That is
what Window-Eyes had working before it went away.

Yes, there can certainly be bugs when new versions are released, but most of the time they're really not so severe as to affect the overall functioning of your device. I just install any updates when I can and as soon as they're released to the public.
