I happen to own 4 pair (different types) and think the idea is wonderful.
Note that they are not as comfortable as New Balance or Rockport and thus
all-day ware may be an issue.
They have both dress and casual styles in many colors.
Also, be sure to get your exact size.

You got an accurate description already except for a couple details.
First the top of the toes is mesh so feel with your feet when walking
without a cane and with weight back toward heels to prevent falling over.
Second detail is this. You can throw them in the washing machine and wash
and dry them.
This is why it's good to own two pairs. I own one pair and think I will go
back and buy another pair myself too.
