[BlindTlk] BrailleSense

Hello. For lack of a better term what you might be looking for is a hybrid note taker. This would be like the Mantis or the brailliant. They are both basically the same thing, except that the Mantis has a qwerty keyboard whereas the other one has a Perkins keyboard. They do not have spell check or formatting but they do have basic note taking capabilities in either brf or txt format. Both can read Word documents but they cannot save in the same format. Both can be used as a braille display with a computer or smartphone. Both have a few extra apps such as the bookshare, bard, and nfb news line for Braille document reading. Both also have 40 cells and are easily about half the price as a full-blown note taker.

> First, the notetaker needs to have a braille keyboard and braille display. I would like the notetaker to do all the things the BrailleNote Classic did. Take notes, manage addresses, make appointments and translate files fr printing. Also, the notetaker should have a file manager where you can create, rename and erase files and folders. I'm nervous about using a notetaker with the android system, which I know the BrailleNote Touch is based on. I love KeySoft!
> Re your money question - It would be awesome to get a used notetaker for $500 or less. I read some reviews of the BrailleSense yesterday. Although feature-wise, it looks awesome, I agree - it's way overpriced.
