Hi Madison,
Madison from my perspective your blindness doesn't prevent you from pursuing any career/job of your choice. So you can do any type of work. I've taken career assessments and I am looking into jobs in the business setting. At the same time though, I am thinking about going to graduate school in a field that's considered to be social sciences.
You can do any type of work.
Best of luck,

First of all I'm not visually impaired but totally blind from birth as a result of genetics. That out of the way, I worked for the Government in computer programming and volunteered in off hours at a place making referbished computers that went all over the world. I took donated computers apart so assemblers could harvest useable parts and build the referbs. Have you taken an aptitudes and interests test or more than one and answered all questions truthfully? If you haven't done this yet, I think that's your next step. The thing is, people are happiest doing the work for which they're best suited. Thousands of successful people took those tests before you and your answers will be matched against theirs to pick vocations for you. Before I took that test I didn't know specificly what I wanted to do and I used the test results for further education and entry into my chosen profession. If your counselor doesn't know about these tests, find another counselor who does know then take the test. On Fri, Mar 21, 2025 at 11:47:29PM -0500,
