That=E2=80=99s a wonderful idea Madison!

As for me, I=E2=80=99ve been an activity assistant in a nursing home, a take= care, worker and currently I work for national industries For The Blind as c= hief Penn prepare lol in my vision has changed over the years as I=E2=80=99v= e said, so some things are harder for me to do than they used to be. I=E2=80= =99m not in love with electronic medical health records for sure.

As to the volunteering, I feel like I=E2=80=99ve done it all, but I know I h= aven=E2=80=99t. Here. In the states we have a MERICORE. They do a lot of thi= ngs. Sometimes it=E2=80=99s building homes or working with kids in public sc= hools to get their skills to grade level. I don=E2=80=99t know if you=E2=80=99= ve heard the peace core here in the states but it=E2=80=99s similar to that o= nly in the United States rather than in a foreign country. My totally blind H= usband did 2AMERICORE experiences both in schools. One of them was at the Bl= ind school in our state and the other one was in Milwaukee Public school. He= really loved it. Similarly I have helped build houses in Louisiana. Americo= people taught us how to do siding or insulation or dig holes for fence post= s all three of which I have done. I have also volunteered in a food pantry a= nd did some social work related things for the Salvation Army in a community= I lived in. I have taught Sunday school for years and years at various chur= ches, and I have worked with seniors in day programs and been a personal car= e worker in people=E2=80=98s homes as well. Someday I would like to do somet= hing with animals like help socialize cats in a foster system through the Hu= mane Society. All my cats have come from the Humane Society so it=E2=80=99s d= eep in my heart.

Hope this helps you. I wanted to be a teacher, special education specificall= y. Now looking back, I probably should have become certified to teach blind a= nd visually impaired. But I=E2=80=99m 53 and I=E2=80=99m not going back to s= chool.
