Hi, Ed,

I understand what you are saying.  Back in the simbian days of our using Nokia devices with Talks, I could do the same thing: download apps from the site offered.  I used it for getting on the internet, e-mails, all the usual.  My latest ones were the N82, and N95.

I do know what you are saying, though, and could be that the BS3 lies somewhere in the between, but, just me, acts more like the Nokia phones I used back then, even with the earcons on the browser.

While I'm not a particular fan of the BS3 - how can you credibly sell a 
phone these days without a front camera? I don't think it's quite fair to 
describe it as a feature phone. It has an app catalogue after all, and as I 
understand it, you can install external apps on the 3 even if you do so at 
your owo risk accessibility-wise and the results of so doing are likely 
better on a mainstream device.

I'd say it sat somewhere between the two categories.

Just so you know, as good as this BS3 device is, it is not a smart phone, 
it is a feature phone.  While feature phones have their limitations, the 
shell phones are the best when it comes to feature phone accessibility.  
Their processors are not as fast, and one is not as productive in a given 
timeframe, as with a smart phone, if you need high time management.  This 
is just how feature phones are, but this is a good one, and hope you enjoy it.

Since I posted on here before about this I thought I'd provide an update. I was
able to get a demo unit of the BlindShell Classic 3 phone and really liked 
it so
I ordered my own and I should be getting it in the next couple of days. No idia
what kind of plan I'll get but at least Dad is happy that I'm getting a cell
phone.
