Hi, Chad, and welcome to the list.

I do not know of any totally accessible cordless phones, in the sense that they have TTS speech capability as cell phones do. The cell phones, Apple or Android, already have screen-reading speech, plus so much more can be done with them.

My husband and I do have a cordless phone set we got at Costco, since we had home wireless at one time. However, the only thing I did was to get some assistance in figuring out the ringer-changing keysequences and writing them down, so I could change the ringer on my own.

Judy
sent from the HIMS Android BrailleSense Polaris

----- Original Message -----
From: Chad Nelson via BlindTlk <blindtlk@nfbnet.org>
To: blindtlk@nfbnet.org
Date: Monday, December 31, 2018 09:39 PM
Subject: [BlindTlk] Cordless phones?

Hi,

My name is Chad and I just signed up to this mailing list. Thanks for
accepting my request.

I just had a quick question if anyone could answer it. My wife and I are
searching for a cordless/corded phone that will be fully accessible. We
currently have a Panasonic phone that only speaks caller ID and we are
looking for something that will speak the menus as well. It would also
be cool to get something with brailled keypad.

Does anyone know of a good phone?

Thanks, and hopeing everyone has a safe and healthy New year!

Chad

_______________________________________________
BlindTlk mailing list
BlindTlk@nfbnet.org
http://nfbnet.org/mailman/listinfo/blindtlk_nfbnet.org
To unsubscribe, change your list options or get your account info for BlindTlk:
http://nfbnet.org/mailman/options/blindtlk_nfbnet.org/sonshines59%40gmail.com
