Subject: Disabled Veteran's Adaptive Sports Day, 7/16

Dear Mr. Sayer,

Hello, my name is Jim Debus. You actually spoke with my wife today
regarding our COTA bus services. I am a member of the Paralympic Sports Club of
Columbus and we are planning an adaptive sports and recreation event. I
wanted to ask if your organization could help us out in any way--we are in
search of injured or disabled vets--who are interested in participating in
adaptive sports and recreation activities.
We are holding it on Saturday, July 16th, from 10a-3p at the Franklin Park
Adventure Center, 1755 E. Broad St. 43205.
The Columbus Recreation and Parks Dept. and with the help of The Paralytic
Sports Club of Columbus, Rick Isbell at the mayor's office, and a grant
from NPRA, we are hoping this event can be a success!! The sports we offer
are:
WILL BE FEATURED AT THE EVENT
high ropes course
boccia
quad rugby
goalball
wheelchair football/basketball
and a fully accessible fitness center with specialized trainers.

other sports we offer
power soccer
swimming
softball
track and field

Any assistance you can provide me in getting some folks together to attend
this event, or possibly provide volunteers, would be greatly appreciated.
I will be speaking at the next DAV meeting on June 6th to help further
promote this event. Thanks for your time, please come out and join us as
LUNCH IS PROVIDED!! I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,

James D. Debus
