Twenty-odd years ago, I was standing in our kitchen, speaking with my
soon to be foster son in law. He was an engineering grad student at the
place where I was teaching. About that time, my fourth, Brian, two at
the time, came tearing through at full volume. He just hit that perfect
resonance -- ear-splitting howl which echoed off the walls in a glorious
fashion. I remember pausing my conversation with Michael, and then
picking right back up after my ears stopped ringing. He looked at me
for a few seconds and said "Those four boys left you with some serious
nerve damage." Well, I guess they did, but it was only a few years
later that Michael had a couple of his own -- and so it goes.

Bottom line, it's more or less normal, and the less attention you pay,
the better everybody sleeps. My theory -- if it's not toxic, expensive,
sharp, or on fire, screw it, let things take care of themselves.

Sarah is going through a very vocal stage. It really is amazing the
ear-piercing screeches that can come out of such a little baby. They're
not angry screeches, they're happy sounds, but my goodness! I hope
it's
just a phase she'll quickly grow out of.

Did i tell you guys about the really cool blender I found at Wal-mart. Its
called a Hamilton Beach Wave Station Dispenser. There is a spicket at the
bottom of the stand, so instead of taking the container off to pour out the
liquid, you just push down on the spicket at the bottom and the liquid squirts
right into your glass. It was only $19. I told my family that I want one, so
maybe Santa will have pity on me and get it for me. anyway I thought it was
cool. My old blender doesn't even have a pour spout so its hard to get all
the contents into my cup. V

My boyfriend watches my 2 kids 3 days a week and wants some advice on how to
help with homework. My daughter is in kindergarten and gets a sheet a night of
homework and she needs the directions read to her in order for her to complete
it. What do you think is the best way for him to help her with it? What are
ways that you help your kids get their homework done? Any suggestions would be
appreciated.

Bullet. Grins.

A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without
making poorer those who
give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.
None is so rich or

be made rich by it.
Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something

Ooooh, Veronica, I can't stand whining, either. It especially drives me
nuts when Gabbie throws
herself on the floor. I'm not sure if I should just ignore her or what, but
usually I pull her up
and tell her to "stand up"! Ugh. Tantrums ... how to get through
them!

Hi,
If the homework is type written he could scann it if you have a computer and
a scanner. If not, maybe the teacher could put the instructions on a tape
for him, or email him or call him with them?

just some thoughts as my son isn't old enough to need help with homework
yet.
