Hi, Jennefer, and list.
 A reader is crucial until your kids come into it on their own.
My girls are in the 4th and 5th grade, and they read to me.  I 
rarely give away answers.  Lots of the time I just encourage them 
to read further, or one more time, or slow down, and they 
eventually get it on their own.  If I don't know and can't help I 
sign it and have them take it up with their teacher.
