[blparent] rejecting foods

Jo Elizabeth,
Your baby is under a year old so should be getting their nutirition via
breastmilk or formula.
Just keep offering meat and fish and don't stress.
You can't make anybody eat, sleep or go to the bathroom, just teach them
to do it in appropriate places, and even, there are no hard and fast
rules.
You cn also try placing soft foods (fish may work better then meat at
this point) in front of her and letting her do what she will with them,
i.e. not try to spoon-feed.
Deli meatt hat is thin, is good as Melissa suggested.
For now though, unless something is physically or developmentally wrong,
or if she won't take formula or breastmilk, I'd just let it go.

Without teeth this would certainly be a lot harder. I was lucky in a
way because Austin got his teeth fairly early and cut a bunch of them
together.
He actually never cut only one at a time. This has made eating for him
and me a lot easier because he was able to chew more things more
quickly.
Good luck.
Melissa

Well, we're still waiting for teeth. I thought for sure a few would be
in by now, with all the pain the baby was having a few weeks back, but
none yet. So I don't want to go too chunky right away, though she does
eat grated Cheddar cheese and the like. Maybe I'll try a bit of
seasoning. She

ate a few bites of beef puree last night, but the faces Gerald said she
made!

Jo Elizabeth
