[blparent] rejecting foods

Hi. I know that my baby is still getting most of her nutritional needs met
by formula and breastmilk, usually a mix of about half of each. That's a
great comfort, but in a few months, it won't be true any longer. By the
time she stops taking breastmilk and formula, I'll need to have my act
together as far as what to feed her and how much, so I don't like to let
myself completely fall back on the fact that her bottles provide a balanced
diet for now. Besides, the consensus of what I've heard and read seems to
be that if you introduce healthy foods early, and try to keep sweets and
salt out of the diet, you might have better luck encouraging good eating
habits later. I hope so, because when Stephen is over on weekends, he
doesn't seem to like much except pizza and, occasionally, Hamburger Helper.
I've always been pretty adventurous with new foods, and willing to eat
healthful options, and I hope Sarah will be as well.

Jo Elizabeth
