[blparent] a different kind of cane

I don't much care for the roller or marshmellow tips. My favorite, by far,
is the circular steel plate on a rubber base. Almost anything will stick in
the grass or a fence, but this thing clacks right over rough concrete, and
it provides excellent texture and acoustic information. They are standard
on the telescoping carbon fiber or fiberglass variety that they sell at the
NFB Materials Center.

I have a cane with a tip that looks like a ball. It rolls real good but is a

little heavy if you pick up on it. Doesn't get stuck in grass and cracks in
sidewalks near as much, but is a pain if you get it stuck in someone's
fence. Like to never got it loose a few days ago. My daughter said, 'Well,
just leave it here then." LOL
