[blparent] double strollers? (child locators)

I figure the child locator device is just one more tool that I have at my
disposal. Sarah isn't old enough to answer to her name or a whistle yet,
although I've started working on the name thing anyway now and then just as
a game. She doesn't like shoes and kicks hers off at every opportunity, so
up till now, bells aren't the answer. When we're in a quiet place, I can
hear her well and often know what she's doing before others figure it out,
but in noisy, unfamiliar surroundings, it's harder. I use the stuffed
animal harness when I need to keep her near me, and I feel that the child
locator just adds one more level of security.

My only gripe with the "Mommy, Where Am I" locator is that the teddy bear
part that goes to the child is a little large for a small person. That's
why I've been putting it in the backpack of the stuffed animal harness,
which at this point, Sarah can't get out of by herself. If she ever manages
to pull the leash part out of my hand, I'll know what direction she's gone.
There were locators on amazon.com that were way more expensive, but like I
said, the one I bought was reasonably priced and got high reviews.

So far, we haven't been alone in large crowds much, and the people at church
where I go are great about helping me keep tabs on Sarah, though I don't try
to stick them with it because she's my responsibility ultimately. Sometimes
the kids from church, or one of the older ladies, will ask to take her for a
little while, and I'll let them--a break for me, socialization for Sarah,
and a fun time for those watching her.
