Hey Allison,
For two of my nephews that are 10 and 11 I bought them the k'nex set from
walmart. They are building sets that use magnetic balls I guess. They have
some that were only $7 that were cars. If you get all four cars I guess they
can be made into a monster truck. I got one of those, and than the 1000
piece set that was on sale for $24.
