[blparent] toddler development question

Hi,

I wouldn't worry too much about her playing with your toys instead of her
own, and I would definitely not stress over her lack of interest in her new
puzzles. My son loves puzzles now, but when he was that age, getting him to
sit down even for reading a book was hard, and getting him to put together
a puzzle was impossible. Just put them up and try again in a month or so.
The fact that she isn't doing the puzzles probably has more to do with her
just not being interested, and less to do with her being developmentally
delayed or whatever the pc term is these days. If climbing and running is
what she really likes to do then encourage that by providing her with some
ways to do that. And if she likes computers and phones then get her her own
computer and sell phone to play with. Just because something's not labeled
educational doesn't mean we can't learn something from playing with it.

hth
