I think it all depends on how sturdy things are.  Something that is made of
wood might be able to take more abuse than something made of plastic.  You
might want to actually see if you can go to a store and touch something like
this to see how well made it is.  Or, perhaps you might be able to find
someone who makes or would make a wooden doll bed for her by hand.  The
other option might be to get her a bed for smaller dolls that would be too
small for her to think much about climbing into.  I had a very nice hand
made wooden cradle and some small wooden bunk beds when I was young.  I
loved them, but was a little frustrated at times because my bigger dolls
wouldn't fit on them.  They would probably have been very safe for a two
year old though.

I recently asked the visiting nurse why so many toys said they were to be 
used with children three and over.  She told me that the primary 
consideration is how oral toddlers under three are, and if the toys have 
parts that could break off or be pulled off and swallowed.  As children get 
older, the need to stick everything in their mouths decreases.

As for breaking toys, I guess that probably is to be expected.  I climbed 
into a doll buggy as a little kid and broke it because it wouldn't take my 
weight.  My mother has pictures of my little sister sleeping peacefully in a

doll crib that I had gotten for Christmas or a birthday or something.
