[blparent] gifts

Hi, Veronica. It's cool that you took your daughter to get her ears pierced
as a Christmas present. My mom took me on my tenth birthday, which was a
surprise because she'd always said I couldn't have my ears pierced till I
was twelve, and I still remember how exciting it was. Windchimes are good
gifts, too, I love them and have lots of them, and they are pleasant day
after day.

Sarah was quite showered with gifts, although she wasn't old enough to
really understand any of what was going on. She mostly liked to play with
the boxes. She was the most fun part of Christmas, but all in all, I'm glad
to have it behind us.

Take care,
Jo Elizabeth

It is easy--terribly easy--to shake a man's faith in himself. To take
advantage of that to break a man's spirit is devil's work. Take care of what
you are doing. Take care.--George Bernard Shaw in "Candide"
