Mellie hated the play-pen. 
We had good luck with the One Step Ahead Lil Playzone With Lights And
Sounds. 
She liked it I think because it was down on the floor. 
The pack'n'play was a waste of space and money.

Diapers are a good idea.  I think I registered for a stroller with the
infant carrier attached, a playpen that could move from place to place
and clothes in various sizes. v
