Well he is in special care because his birth mom was using drugs while
pregnant and they found cocaine and opiates in his system. Cocaine leaves
the system in less than 3 days so it looks like she used through out the
pregnancy. If his withdrawals aren't too bad we can take him home Monday and
if not then they have to put him on Morphine to wean him. If he needs
treatment then we won't be able to bring him home for at least 2 weeks. We
didn't know about the drug use as she lied to us the whole time. No grudges
though he is responding well and so far it looks promising to bring him home
Monday. We were disappointed but, he is a joy and is already taking to us.
I'm glad he is ours and we will get through this together.
