[blparent] Throwing Toys Out the Window

Oh my gosh, Gabriella pushed the screen out of our window this past weekend
and threw all her books out, along with Flip's toys and her shoes. The first
time someone saw her in the window, he came up to our apartment and knocked
on the door to tell me that "the baby was in the window and I don't want her
to fall out." I was a bit puzzled as to why he would tell me this, since no
one else had ever said anything to me about Gabriella standing by the window
(she always does). So, I checked the window, and the screen was out ...
oops! I am extremely thankful he let me know, because I would not have liked
to find out another way.

My roommate fixed the screen, though, and things were normal again ... so I
thought. I found out she'd thrown out all her books and shoes when we were
getting ready to leave for an appointment on Saturday. She kept telling me,
"Mommy, shoes, outside!" Thought she was saying she wanted to put her shoes
on and go outside. *SIGH* My dad showed up and she told him the same thing,
though apparently she was pointing at the window. He went to look, and there
all her stuff was, on the ground floor ... I knew that the screen had been
fixed, but when I opened the window to check it, it was messed up again.
Ugh. I really don't know how that happened.

Dad thought it was funny, but I didn't. I was freaked out. The window stays
closed from now on and we use the AC more often. I don't care about paying
20 extra dollars a month; it gives me that much needed peace of mind.
