[blparent] Help

Hi Jennifer,
Hmmmmmmmm
I was really stressed out at work and my son started acting up. I asked his
teacher if anything was going wrong at school. By the time she responded to
my e-mail the problems with work had passed and my son was more or less back
to his normal self...

I try to trust gut feelings in these situations. Often the answers lie right
under my nose.

Sometimes the kids are simply going through a developmental stage. My 6 year
old son benefited greatly from reading books by Judy Bloom and other authors
about children growing up and the problems they face in their daily lives.
Check with your children's librarian for some age appropriate books about
coping with step family etc.

Also, I've noticed that my husband has a different approach to bed time,
meals, dressing for the weather than I do. Perhaps more or less sleep, more
or less activity, or a change in meals and fluid intake might make a
difference... Just throwing out some thoughts here...
HTH,
Eileen

yes I have and we have resolved those issues. My boyfriend spends most of
his day with the kids playing games, watching tv and he takes them out in
the courtyard to play ball and ride bikes. The day of the toy throwing he
had asked them if they wanted to watch cartoons for a bit. They had been
playing with toys in there room for about an hour or so after they had
played a game of cooties together. So not sure what is wrong with her.
Tonight she lashed out again saying to me I smell like a B****. She will
not be going to the pool tomorrow and will be with her step uncle.

Jennifer
