If it had been a dog, you may not have gotten him back.
They tried to put a bib on you and filled your glass half-way? Do share,
sounds like a neat story.

When we were in Beijing four years ago, I lost my cane tip. Luckily we
hadn't walked far from the restaurant before I noticed. They had found
it and gave it to us right away when we showed them. They probably
thought it was a strange thing. This is the same place that tried to
put a bib on me when we sat down for supper, and only filled my glass of
water half full every time. Sure is an eye opener to travel abroad.

If wisdom's ways you wisely seek, five things observe with care: of
whom you speak, to whom you speak, and how and when and where.
