I have two children under the age of six and my sugestion is to raid the
cabinents and closets for toys. smile
My older son is now into board games that can be adapted or bought
already brailled. I used to get very upset that I couldn't read books to
my kids as easily as other parents but my kids were so busy that they
don't sit still for my sighted husband either. I've been borrowing
recorded books from the library and listening to them with my older son
at bed time. He is now actually asking for new books so I must be doing
something right finally!
As the leader of a parenting groups told me, kids often don't play with
toys in the way intended by their creator.

Subject: [blparent] Where to buy toys.
Wondering if anyone knows where a person can buy educational toys that a
blind parent can interact with a sighted child. Toys that involve all
the senses.
