I can't remember if I passed this onto the list. I can't help her, but I think the project is a good one.

Text is below my name.

Jane

Hi NFB Friends,
I am head of media relations for the Performing Arts Division and am
also a contributing author to the American Chronicle online magazine. I
am currently working on a series of articles on Braille literacy in
America, and I would like to include an example of a blind parent who
reads Braille to their child. With all of the arguments about how
technology makes Braille unnecessary, I think this is the one instance
where no one has any counter argument. Also, I think it would show
blind people in the role of not only good parent but responsible citizen.

I would like a good quality JPeg photo of you reading to your son or
daughter. The interview can be done via e-mail or I can call you,
whatever works. I hope to have the interviews completed by mid April.

Also, if anyone feels strongly about another aspect of the Braille
literacy discussion and would like to comment or give me references,
that would be appreciated as well.
