well, being that I am currently acting as both Mommy, and Daddy.
(Single Father) my daughter (she is 8, and in the second grade)
brought me home some pipe cleaner stemmed tissue flowers. very cool
feeling too. I got two of them. she wanted to give me one on mother
's day and one on father's day but I accepted them both when she
brought them home to me.

and there was something else, it was a foil paper that was painted as
a sun I think with some other decoration on it.

Yeah. My kid is two. She doesn't have the attention span to sit througha
play and all the ones I would enjoy are not appropriate for her age.
Going out to eat with her is not fun. It involves her either wanting to
eat my food, her not wanting to eat, or her freaking out when I break
her food into little pieces because she thinks I'm hurting it.
Far easier for us to eat at home and then go out for a walk or whatever.

I would rather my child make me something. She can't afford to take me
out unless we go to the park for a picnic. As my hubby has said many
times, I am not his mother. So we don't give each other anything for
this day. But I do love the things my daughter creates for me. V

Hi there again, Tammy, Anjelina, V, Sharon, and all. With Mother's Day
coming out, I have a suggestion: Let your kids take you out for Mother's
Day! Wouldn't that be exciting?

Eric, with a few suggestions:

1. To church. Couple it with:

I. Brunch

ii. A play

iii. To the beach!

2. Find out the humor in your children, as they give you a Mom's Day
card.
