[blparent] Summer- right around the corner

I always enjoyed mops, because everybody shares good things, as well as
challenges, and it doesn't seem like as much of a competition as in other
groups. Also, the child goes to their own class while mom is in her meeting
having some mom time, so you aren't chasing your child while the other moms
watch and scrutinize your every move. Not that this bothers me a lot, but
it can lead to awkward moments when they try to take care of your child for
you or act like you can't tell what your child is doing. You get to just
sit and chat about being a mom, so they start to realize that you have your
own way of doing things. My group started asking how I handle certain
situations, such as injuries and emergency situations, and I enjoyed the
opportunity to educate them. Much better than feeling like I had to put on
a show for them as they watched my every move.
My kids love the program too because it's like school for them before they
actually start school.
