[blparent] Summer- right around the corner

The closest to daycare I ever got was the one at the gym. Then when Gab was
4, she asked me why she couldn't go to the daycare and play like the other
kids. I tried to reason with her and tell her mommy stayed home and she
still wanted to go play with those kids. So I signed her up with a group
through Parks and Rec where she and her friend went 2 times a week. She was
so happy and I cried. V

I think having a teenage helper is a great idea. If there is a university
near you, it might have a jobs site too where you can put up an ad for a
sitter. I know some moms around here have found some great sitters that
way.
I could never put my kids in daycare either, and nobody should feel bad
about that. I have done home daycare, and I still won't put my children in
daycare, unless the day comes that I absolutely have no other choice. That
may sound hipocritical, but it's just not what I want for my children. I
stepped down from the mops steering team after I had Kaelyn, because she is
probably going to be my last child, and I want to spend every moment that I
can with her. Now I have the option of going to mops if I feel like doing
that. So enjoy your little girl, and do what you feel is best.
