Oh me too, there's no one like mommy!  I have listened to her side, but I
can't make it up to her.  I would have to get a room at the Hyatt and bring
all the conventioneers back (lol).  Maybe next year. V

If she still seems hurt/upset, why not talk with her about it and more
important listen to what she has to say. 
Dads need to experience illness, yes. 
The other piece of that is that sometimes nobody can comfort like Mom. I
can see both sides of this one.

I'm guessing that it hurt you more than it hurt Gab and her dad?  
It isn't as though you bailed durring a serious crisis!  I say let them
miss us from time to time!
