[blparent] a new blind parent

Ok I will try to describe how to change a diaper. If you know anyone that
has a baby it would be great if they would let you practice on their kid.

To change a diaper you lay the kid on the floor, change table or whatever
you are using. There are a tab on each side of the diaper. They are either
velcro or sticky. You just pull them off, and if you are changing a boy than
immediately place a wipe over his penis. Little boys are known to spray you
when your in the middle of changing them, so I always put a wipe over them
to help prevent it. Then I hold both legs in one hand, usually at the
ankles, and lift them up in the air a little bit so that the butt is off of
the floor slightly. Use the wipeto clean them dup. For girls you always want
to wipe from the front of their private towards their butt. I always use one
extra wipe just to make sure I got all the poop off of them. Once you have
them clean you pull the dirty diaper out from under the kid, and replace it
with the clean one. The side of the diaper with the tabs is the back. Once
you have the back of the diaper in place lower the childs legs, and bring
the front up between their legs. Pull the tabs and facend the tabs around
the front. You want to make sure that you have the tabs pulled tight enough
so the diaper will stay on, but not to tight. I always can tell if it is
right if I am able to just slide my fingers in the very top of the diaper. I
hope this helps you.
