[blparent] Off Topic: National Do-Not-Call List for Cell Phones

At the risk of getting in trouble for an off topic post, I thought this information would be helpful to some of you.

In thirty-one days, cell phone numbers will be going public.  What that means is that telemarketers can call cell phones, and the owners of the phones will be charged for the calls.  Phone owners can also be charged if telemarketers leave messages and the owners later listen to the messages.

If you would like to register your cell phone number on the national do-not-call list, dial this number: 888-382-1222.  You have to be using the cell phone number you want to register when you call.  You cannot call from a different phone number.  Easy menu prompts will guide you, and the whole thing takes about a minute.
