[blparent] French Braid

Maybe this is sort of what you are talking about, but my friend Darlene
makes 3 braids and then braids those 3 braids together. It's really cool
looking. I'm still not sure exactly what a French braid is. Is it a
regular braid with more than 3 bunches of hair? V

I don't know about a tactile description but here's how I could best
describe it. Okay, you said you think you know how to do it. Start with
your three pieces and slowly add as you braid them back. Keep a comb handy
so you can comb each time you add. Pull it as tight as she'll let you. The

trick is keeping the hair combed neatly as you go along. If I lived near
you, I'd do it for you. I love doing other people's hair but hate doing my
own. Consequentlym, I don't wear french braids any more. If you have a
hard time getting it started, put a little ponytail with your beginning
hair.
Here's another fun thing you can do. Then again, people may think I'm
corny. I sometimes put lots of ponytail holders in my hair via the adding
in fashion of the french braid. So you put one way toward the front with a
little bit of hair, add a little from each side and put another holder in.
Keep doing that until you have all the hair in and then space them nicely
all the way down the ponytail. I like to make a rainbow that way.
Barbara

If wisdom's ways you wisely seek, five things observe with care: of whom
you speak, to whom you speak, and how and when and where.
