Yeah, but even if your kid doesn't like it, you could hide it and bring it 
out to practice with when she's not around.  And if she catches you?  Just 
tell her you're practicing your braiding.  Maybe it wouldn't be so scary 
then.
Kids are sure funny about the things they're afraid of, aren't they.
