Hi all,
Thanks for the feed back! Elizabeth I was so glad I'd read your message when
the teacher  wanted to know hwy we registered Ari if he wasn't already potty
trained. I told her that he wasn't even talking when we registered him in
the class months ago. To which she responded that they didn't care if he
couldn't talk. Sigh

Any way the teacher called us back after she had a chance to consult with
the principal. She's giving Ari a trial period til the end of the month . If
at that time  he is putting too much of a drain on the staff's resources
we'll have to withdraw him from the program.  I'm glad that I told her he
wasn't trained because they made   sure to have him try to go and he made it
through class without an accident.  Woohoo! 
I just hope the novelty doesn't wear off before the end of the month. LOL  

Tonight he had an accident for my husband. I told him that I would lie down
with him at bedtime after he tried to go potty in the potty. Well, I was
able to watch all of the presidents state of the union address and nearly
fall asleep before my little angel cried, "the peepee is coming out!"  He
successfully went on the potty without loosing a drop!

To answer someone's question. Yes, I've told him that he can't go to school
unless he puts his pee pee in the potty. But three year old logic being what
it is he just doesn't comprehend the future or the past. More often than not
trying to talk about bad things in the future makes him cry and get
confused. So I've been trying to use use the present as a motivator. Saying
"I'll play cards with you after you try to put pee in the potty." It can get
pretty time consuming to wait for my stubborn little angel to decide he
wants to play cards more than he wants to argue with Mom. LOL 


I sure wish that being wet and dirty made him unhappy but it doesn't seem to
matter. I suppose in long ago times when male ancestors were sitting in the
cold wet rain waiting for food to come their way all this tolerance for wet
and yuck must have been quite  an advantage. Right now it's just driving me
nuts. Hehehaha

Just keep at it.  There will e accidents for a while, even after he starts 
school. I just told my daughter tht she couldn't go ot school until she 
could go on her own, and we started about two months ahead of time so we 
knew she would be ready, and she was.  Whatever you do, don't go back to the

diapers and pull-ups, except maybe at night time, and pack extrqa clothing 
for him in his backpack.  I think after my daughter got the hang of going 
potty, she only had a couple of acidents at school.  Sounds like your little

one just forgot himself in whatever he was doing when the accident occured. 
Just try to be patient...He'll get it eventually.
