There so many ways, it's not even funny.  I, personally liked to sit her
upright on my lap and rub her back.  This position worked best for me.  Now
my husband liked putting her flat against his chest where her head was right
over his shoulder and then rubbed her back.  But when I did it this way,
she'd always urp on me. V
